At Rosewood Nurses Training School, we offer a 1-year General Nursing Education course in both English and Sinhala, based on the official government syllabus. Diploma in Nursing (NVQ Level 3/4)
Our Diploma in Nursing, aligned with National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level 3/4, is designed to equip students with the essential knowledge, practical skills, and professional attitudes required for a successful nursing career. The program meets national standards and prepares graduates for employment in hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare settings, both locally and abroad.
Program Overview
This comprehensive nursing diploma is aligned with National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level 3/4 standards, offering rigorous academic and practical training. Designed to develop competent, compassionate, and skilled nursing professionals, the program prepares students for a rewarding career in healthcare, both locally and internationally.
Program Details
As per the NVQ Operation Manual, a minimum of 120 credits is required for NVQ Level 6 certification.
One credit equals 25 notional hours of study, which includes lectures, practical sessions, and self-learning.

Post-Qualification Outcomes
Upon successful completion, graduates will be eligible to:
- Work as general nurses at Rosewood Hospital or other private hospitals in Sri Lanka and Overseas
- Apply for Private Sector Nursing Registration through the Private Health Services Regulatory Council (PHSRC).
- Pursue further education, such as a Bachelor of Nursing “Degree.
